Introducing a new affiliated researcher
CLUE+ is happy to welcome dr Eva Jakobsson as new affiliated researcher.

Eva Jakobsson is CLUE+ affiliated researcher 2018/2019. She is an Associate Professor in history at the University of Stavanger in southwestern Norway. Eva Jakobsson’s research is primarily on different aspects of Swedish water history in a long time perspective. She received her PhD, from Gothenburg University in Sweden. Her thesis - Industrialization of Rivers - is a study of the political and legal history to control the Swedish water system for hydro-electricity production. She has also published on river historiography, accident investigations and on women history.
She participated in the establishment of the European Society for Environmental History. Jakobsson has been a guest researcher at the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society (Munich), at l'Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Science Sociale (Paris) and at The Centre for Advanced Study in Oslo.
During her research visit in Amsterdam, she will complete her lake-biography project Understanding Lake Vänern. The book project is an environmental history of the Swedish Lake Vänern, which also is EU:s largest lake.
